On behalf of Doctors for Healthy Communities (DHC), volunteers delivered reusable water bottles from Louisville Water Company to Portland Elementary School of JCPS on March 1st, 2021.

Portland is a fully personalized environment where learners receive experiences that are tailored to their specific emotional, cultural, and academic needs. They believe that every student has the opportunity to thrive, grow, and achieve no matter their starting place. Students are the driving force behind their learning, and they possess interpersonal skills needed for self-directed learning. Students are the drivers of their learning, allowing their interests, current data, and goal-setting to lead the way. Students can show competency in a variety of ways, including self-selected displays of learning, authentic tasks, and traditional methods of assessment.

Louisville Water Company has produced water since 1860. They provided Louisville pure tap® bottles for the students in JCPS.

DHC is proud to be part of the initiative to support our school children at Portland Elementary.
