Did you know you can’t use SNAP benefits (food stamps) in the state of Kentucky to purchase toilet paper?
To assist Louisville residents in need, the Cathedral Social Concerns Committee hosted a toilet paper drive for the Central Louisville Community Ministries Hygiene Closet on April 25 and 26.
The Family Community Clinic (FCC) and its volunteers played a major role in this drive. FCC offers comprehensive health care for people of all ages, and those services are free for those who can not afford health insurance. They also provide Spanish translating services for those with limited English.
Family Community Clinic also partners with local organizations such as the UofL Dental School and Norton Healthcare Centers to further promote health wellness and prevention. These services include free dental screenings and mammogram/pap smear screenings. Family Community Clinic is open Monday-Friday from 9:00 AM-5:00 pm by Appointment only.
