Over two weeks from June 9th to 20th, 2025, Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) health care staff are hosting district-wide school physical opportunities. The JCPS students can get their mandatory physicals, vision and hearing tests, and confirm their immunizations are up to date. This is a fantastic opportunity for children and families to get prepared for the upcoming school year. The staff are also on hand providing free eye examinations. Special thanks for JCPS amazing Nurse Practitioners and healthcare staff for this initiative to help improve the population health.

Doctors for Healthy Communities (DHC) volunteers will attend several dates of the two-week program. DHC Board Member and JCPS District Health Manager Eva Stone will be on hand during this initiative, and DHC Executive Director (and registered nurse) Debbie Harper along with DHC volunteers are planning to participate.
